She excelled academically, maintaining a stellar record as a straight-A student, all while actively participating in her school’s French, Music, and Social Studies honor societies. Valerie was on the cusp of joining the National Honor Society, a testament to her dedication and hard work. Her ultimate aspiration was to become a pharmacist, a dream she pursued with steadfast determination.

Visitation services were held at St. James Funeral Home on March 9 and 10, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Parish of The Holy Cross RC Church on March 11. Valerie was laid to rest at St. James Episcopal Churchyard Cemetery
